    Nice Vise!

Posted by Mike on Nov 5th 2018

Delivery was pretty quick. Vise arrived in good condition. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! It's very heavy & rotates pretty nicely, there's one tight spot, but is is getting better & will probably go away soon. Nice assortment of pins for it. I'm glad I got this one.

    Nice item for the money

Delivery was fast and ordering flawless. This is a good engraving vise for the hobbyist or someone just getting into engraving and not certain if he wants to make the financial commitment of a high end item.

Steel ball it's actually cast iron very heavy

I guess it's worth it for starting out you have to work out just to use it pens that it came with are no good they bend very easy have to make my own so if you go to buy the metal ball black just get the bowl not the pens you can make up your own just get the thermal Lockwood work the best I believe before the price I guess it's alright for the starter ball it was not finished every corner on it was very sharp be careful

    Totally worth the price!

This engraving block is without a doubt worth the price. There are a few setbacks though..
When I opened the box I expected there to be some kind of documentation; there was nothing. It has a rubber base, that I thought the ball rotated on, and I sat there thinking why would they used something that grips? Untill I realized there was another nut lower down that realeased the top half so it could rotate as it should.
The push pins that hold the workpiece, did not fit in some of the holes. One is currently stuck and I need to find a pair of plyers in the morning. I found putting some bur-life on the ends helped them slide into some of the holes but still it looks like I'll have to do something about one hole.. Or work around it.
So overall, I think it was totally worth it to pay a lot less for this block that I believe will last a very long time. Came to $146 after a 25% promo code for a FIVE inch block :)
